Oxford Pride - 2025 by Philip
Oxford Pride 2025, themed “The Greatest Show,” took place on Saturday, 7 June, transforming the city into a vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and equality. Beginning with a colourful parade through the city centre and culminating in a lively festival at South Park, the day featured live performances, dance, food stalls, and community events, all echoing the spirit of inclusion and pride—even in the rain. We were proud to take part in this meaningful event and to share a series of documentary-style photographs taken by Philip. His powerful images capture the spirit, joy, and solidarity of the day with authenticity and sensitivity, offering a visual narrative that reflects both the celebration and the deeper meaning behind Pride.

Stow Gypsy Fair – by Philip & Pete &Habip
Each year, the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold becomes the vibrant heart of a centuries-old tradition: the Gypsy Horse Fair. Held twice annually, this unique gathering draws members of the Romani and Traveller communities, horse traders, and curious visitors from across the UK. In this collaborative photo series, Peter, Philip, and Habip offer distinct yet complementary perspectives on the fair. Their images capture not only the striking visuals of horses, wagons, and trade, but also the spirit of connection, resilience, and identity that define this cultural event. Together, these photographs serve as a vivid document of a living tradition at the crossroads of heritage and change.

May Day 2025
Every year on May 1st, a traditional ceremony called May Morning takes place in Oxford. The event begins at exactly 6:00 AM with the Magdalen College Choir singing a Latin hymn called Hymnus Eucharisticus from the tower of Magdalen College. This tradition dates back to the 16th century. After the hymn, thousands of people gather around High Street, Magdalen Bridge, and nearby areas. The city then comes alive with music, folk dancing (especially Morris dancing), and various performances throughout the day. May Morning is an important social event that celebrates both the arrival of spring and the academic year, blending the cultures of the university and the local community.
